Download File | Starting from Rachel Sexton who work at the NRO (National Reconnaissance Office) which is an organization that deals with the White House, while his father, Senator Sedgewick Sexton, a presidential candidate who was popular compared to the incumbent president, Zachary Herney. Sexton is more popular because he attacks the weakness of the president who gives more to NASA's budget, while NASA has not given good results up to now.
Then Rachel met with the president and given the mission to the North Pole to provide information with respect to the objects found by NASA. Then when there, he met with Michael Tolland, Corky Marlinson, Norah Mangor and also Wailee Ming who became colleagues when there. It turned out that NASA found the suspected object is meteorite and there is a creature from outer space. It turned out that after investigation, there lies hidden and had claimed the lives of researchers and set aside Rachel, Michael and Corky who know the truth. They also hunted by a team who wanted to cover up the lie.
While Sedgewick Sexton was apparently received funds bribes from private companies that want to beat NASA, so therefore they help the senator that as president and then allow them to launch the plane. Sexton himself had a secretary named Gabrielle who had an affair with him. Gabrielle itself is a person who has contacts in the White House so often received the news. Gabrielle knew Sexton received a bribe then start to not trust him after being told such information by a presidential adviser, Marjorie Tench, who also knows Gabrielle affair with Sexton.
The next story, is the hunt for Rachel and her team were finally find out the lies perpetrated and the mastermind behind this as well as the motive. It turned out that the mastermind was William Pickering who is the boss of Rachel and she wanted to protect the American people despite having to sacrifice a few people. After a fight between the Delta team against Rachel and comrades, Pickering and his team of Delta eventually killed and Rachel survived.
Sexton already blinded by ambition and power kemenangand after knowing the lies perpetrated the American government wants to disclose it, but it turned out that uncovered the affair. Finally, the president Zach apologize for the mistake he made and he might regain the presidency next. While Michael have forgotten grief of his wife's death now with Rachel finally become lovers.
This book is very stressful, a lot of interesting facts are spoken here and flavored fiction as well so had to find the truth. The identity of the perpetrators were revealed was also surprising and exciting end by Dan Brown. Nice words are "Nothing will replace the truth .." (Zachary Herney)
This book is worth reading for those who are fond of Dan Brown.
